Red Ball Rhythm is a specialized performance drumming group. They perform both on stage and at various memory care/assisted living facilities. This group is made up of both standing and sitting drummers.
The group is required to purchase several specialized pieces, which can be found at this link. REQUIREMENTS
Yearly costumes are also required for the annual Dance Company Show.
My Story - Jodie
I grew up in Minnesota and began formal dancing lessons at the age of 3. I have been teaching tap dance for over 40 years with an emphasis on teaching seniors for the past 10 years. While living in Charlotte, NC a friend asked me to teach yoga ball drumming at our local Senior Center. Within weeks I had a very successful drumming class. The move to Summerlin was the perfect opportunity to offer drumming to our large senior community.
My Story - Rebecca
After attending my first Dance Company Spring Show in 2024, I knew I wanted to be on that stage, having fun performing for an audience. I love bringing happiness to people and watching their responses to the music and dancing, as they smile, laugh, and enjoy the show.
I teach line dancing and enjoy performing in musical theater and the performance drum group. I'm excited to serve as an assistant teacher for the performance drummers and I look forward to blending choreography, great music, and the joy of beating a yoga ball with sticks!
